Option 3: Go to your phone settings to check eSIM compatibility.

If you prefer to check directly from your smartphone, eSIM compatibility can be found in the settings. Here's how to do this depending on your device.

Check eSIM compatibility on Android (Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, etc.)

Follow these 4 simple steps:

  • Open the Settings on your phone.
  • Go to Connections or Network & Internet.
  • Open SIM Card Manager or SIM Cards.
  • Look for a menu item labeled eSIM, Virtual SIM, Digital SIM card, or Add eSIM.

If the eSIM option appears: your phone is compatible.
If nothing appears: your smartphone probably does not support eSIM.

Check eSIM compatibility on iPhone

On iPhone, the method is even simpler:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Go to Cell data.
  • Look for an option titled Add a cell plan, Add an eSIM plan, or Add a SIM card.

If one of these buttons appears: your iPhone is eSIM compatible.

Option 4: Dial #06# to check eSIM compatibility

There is a universal method for checking eSIM compatibility: dial the code #06# as if you were going to call a number.

  • Open your telephone keypad.
  • Type: #06#
  • A window will appear displaying various technical information.

If you see a number EID (Embedded Identity Document), your phone is 100% eSIM compatible.
If no EID appears, your smartphone does not support the technology.
