I didn't know anything about Voilà eSIM until a Japanese friend told me about it. He told me it was the most reliable solution he uses on a daily basis in Tokyo, so I trusted him for our vacation. My wife and I went to Japan for 3 weeks (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Okinawa) and we each took 50 GB. I have to say that the network is ultra-stable, fast, even in the Tokyo subway or in more remote areas like Mount Fuji. It's clearly the best network we've tested in Japan. I've used Holafly, Airalo and Ubigi before, and always had problems. These other brands block TikTok and banking apps for no reason. With Voilà eSIM, none of that. All apps work as they do in France. Voilà is clearly the cheapest Japan eSIM I've found for this network quality. What's more, you can recharge very easily from the app if you need to. Personally, I haven't needed to do this, but it's reassuring to know that it's possible in just a few clicks, and customer service is pretty responsive!
